How the guides, glossary, pillar pages and AI exclusions tracker are sourced, reviewed and dated. Revised 2026-09-12.

Who writes and reviews

Our pages are written by the Risklytics team for founders and operators who know their product and do not know insurance. Each guide, glossary entry and tracker row is reviewed by Alex Risio, a co-founder and licensed insurance producer, before it is published and again when its substance changes.

A review checks two things. Every figure and every filed fact has to match a dated source we can link. Every statement about what a policy does has to hold for how the forms are actually written, which is why the pages say a policy responds, subject to its wording, rather than that something is covered.

How pages are sourced

We cite the primary source first: the statute, the regulation, the text of the form, or the filer’s own release. Where the form itself is not public, we cite a dated law-firm alert or trade-press article that quotes it. A secondary tracker, a paywalled headline or a broker fact sheet is never the only source for a claim. On the AI exclusions tracker, anything that rests on one goes in a separate list marked reported, not yet verified.

We do not publish premium figures of our own. Premiums come back from the carriers’ underwriters for one operation at a time. When a page shows a cost figure, it is someone else’s published number, and the page names what it measures, links it and gives its date. Where no dated source exists, the page says we don’t publish a number.

Insurer names and form numbers

Our guides, glossary, FAQ and pillar pages describe insurers by what they insure and do not name them or quote form numbers. The AI exclusions tracker is the one exception, because a reference to a filed endorsement is useless without the form and the insurer that filed it. Every name there is tied to a public filing or release with a source and a date. Naming an insurer implies no partnership, appointment or endorsement.

How pages are dated

Guides show the date they were published and the date they were last reviewed. Pillar pages show a revision date under the disclaimer. The tracker shows the date the whole table was revised, and each row shows the date we last checked its source. A date moves when the substance changes or a source is rechecked, and a typo fix does not move it.

Every reference page ends with the same sentence: this page describes coverage in general terms, it is not an offer of insurance, and carrier appetite, policy wording, licensing, and availability govern every quote and every claim.

Corrections

If a source has changed, a link has broken, or you hold a copy of a form that says something different, write to hello@risklytics.ai with the page and the source. We check it, correct the page, and move its revision date.
