Generative AI exclusion

Generative Artificial Intelligence Exclusion

What it does

Removes claims involving the actual or alleged use of generative artificial intelligence, defined as any system that produces content such as text, imagery, audio or synthetic data in response to user prompts, and names ChatGPT, Bard, Midjourney and DALL-E as examples. Narrower than an absolute exclusion because it turns on content produced from prompts, and broader than the ISO forms because it attaches to professional liability, the line an AI software company relies on when its product's output costs a customer money.

Where it applies

Reported on issued professional liability policies; states not stated by the source.
