Exclusion – Generative Artificial Intelligence (Coverage B Only)

What it does

The narrower of the two general liability endorsements. Adds one exclusion to Coverage B: this insurance does not apply to personal and advertising injury arising out of generative artificial intelligence, with the same definition of generative AI as CG 40 47. Coverage A, bodily injury and property damage, is untouched. For an AI company whose product writes, draws or speaks, this removes the defamation, privacy and copyright side of a content claim while leaving the physical-harm side in place, which is why a carrier that wants to keep writing robotics may choose this form over CG 40 47.

Where it applies

Multistate advisory filing; adoption is optional per insurer. See CG 40 47 for the adoption count.

This page describes coverage in general terms. It is not an offer of insurance, and carrier appetite, policy wording, licensing, and availability govern every quote and every claim.
